Hump Day Activities

Happy Hump Day, Cityview!

It's the middle of the week. The weekend is right around the corner, but it's not coming fast enough. Do you go yet another day thinking of all the fun things you want to do in two days, or the better alternative is, do you think about what you're going to do tonight to survive the rest of the week? I don't know about you, but I prefer the latter of the two.

To aid in the "what to do" dilemma, I have already done some hump day research and asked some celebrities what their Hump Day activities entail and here's what they said:

Lady GaGa says, "P-P-P-Poker face!"
  • How good is your poker face? Can you spot a bluff? Do you have what it takes to go all-in? Then head down to Third Base on 6th for their weekly Fantasy Poker tournament! Drink cheap drinks, eat cheap food, and compete for great prizes. Tournaments run Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 6:15 and 9:15.

    • FREE Intro to Salsa lessons at Ruta Maya will be provided by Street Salsa from 7:30-8:30pm with proof of Ruta Maya food or beverage purchase. Your receipt will be your dance ticket. Stay to dance to the music of La Mona Loca from 9 PM to midnight. Beer Specials ALL NIGHT LONG with $3.00 Imports!! www.musicacienfuegos.com www.streetsalsa.com

    • Salsa band Cienfuegos expands to an eleven piece salsa orchestra LA MONA LOCA every Wednesday night! La Mona Loca peforms original arrangements and material from groups such as Ray Barretto, Maraca, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, The Fania All-Stars, Calle Real, El Gran Combo and more. www.musicacienfuegos.com

    • Def Leppard recommends that you "Pour some sugar" on Wednesday nights!

      • Grab the sugar! Put on your leather pants, and let your long hair down in the wind machine to join LC ROCKS at Speakeasy!
      • From the “Live Music Capital of the World” Austin, Texas hails one of the cities most acclaimed 80’s metal party bands, LC ROCKS. Fronted by charismatic lead singer Matt Bray, along with the six string assault of Chris Max, the rumbling bass of Paul Cano and rhythmic pounding of drummer Randy Erwin, LC ROCKS is the full entertainment package. Pure rock ‘n roll attitude, good times & great 80’s metal classics to keep the party rockin’ all night long!

And those are just some suggestions to make the first Wednesday of 2010, that much more interesting! Try something new this Wednesday! After all, that was one of your resolutions for the new year, right? Just helping you out :)

Reporting from Cityview, this is JoJo, keeping you in the know. :)
